PCB maker Dynamic Electronics expects a double-digit growth in April orders, as order visibility for IT products has already extended to mid-April, and clients are now more willing to place regular and longer-term orders, according to company president MC Lin.
Lin noted that orders from the consumer electronics, opto-electronics, notebook/PC, networking and automobile segments are all increasing. Growth in the opto-electronics segment is particularly strong thanks to
China's stimulus program for rural areas, he added.
Lin said and utilization at its
Taiwan production facilities is almost full, and the company's lead time has extended from two weeks to four weeks.
Dynamic has production sites in
Kunshan,
China and
Nankang,
Taiwan. The capacity of its Kunshan plant is the third largest in
East China, after HannStar Board and Tripod Technology.
Dynamic suspended some production lines in China and Taiwan in the fourth quarter of 2008 due to weak demand, but it has restored some of them since February due to recovered demand. The current capacities of Dynamic's plants in
China and
Taiwan are two million and 600,000 square feet with current utilization rates at 70% and nearly 100% respectively, Lin said.
